If you're searching for a big balanced sound with lots of complex tone variations, the Small Jumbo maybe you best choice.  With the tight waist and larger lower bout this model will provide the ability to do everything.  Whether drop tuning or complicated progressions that require sustain, the small jumbo fills a spot in Madsen Guitars line with great success.  Also the SJ is my perferred size for a 12-string or baritone guitar.
